Knowledge

Here we share knowledge on running, building, resilience and training. Practical, well-founded and ready to use. So you don’t just train, but also understand why it works.

Recovery is not a reward system
Recovery is not a reward—it is the part of training where adaptation actually happens. While workouts provide the stimulus, long-term performance gains depend on what follows: The Foundation: Prioritize adequate sleep and sufficient energy intake above all else. Load Management: Life stress and physical training draw from the same physiological battery. Pacing must account for both. Passive Tools: Ice baths, massage, and compression boots can reduce subjective soreness, but they cannot replace proper training structure—and immediate cold exposure can even blunt strength adaptations. Before turning to recovery gadgets, focus on the biggest levers: sleep, nutrition, and an intelligently planned training week.
